Olivia Blucker
Olivia Blucker is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned a B.A. in Anthropology and African American & Africana Studies, and she is continuing her education there as a Ph.D. student in Anthropology with a focus on socio-cultural identity. A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she works as a Technical & Media Assistant for the Mellon-funded Black Studies Podcast. She serves on the Board of the Sandy Spring Slave Museum and African Art Gallery, Inc., where she supports cultural research, archival preservation, and community-based curation.
Her academic interests center on archival research and racialization studies, and she is deeply committed to advancing the visibility of the African diaspora through scholarship, public humanities, and engaged leadership.
